Sncci aderisce alla campagna R1PUD1A di Emergency sostenendola attraverso le attività della Settimana Internazionale della Critica che si svolge dal 27 agosto al 6 settembre

L’articolo 11 della Costituzione dice una cosa bellissima:
l’Italia non farà mai più la guerra. La ripudia.
E si impegna a risolvere i conflitti con la diplomazia.

Oggi però i governi si riarmano. E dicono che la pace è un lusso.
A noi sembra che il lusso sia quello dell’industria bellica, visto che la spesa militare continua a crescere. Soldi che non curano, non insegnano, non salvano.

Una cosa è certa: il 90% dei morti e dei feriti in guerra sono civili.
Davanti a tutte le vittime, la nostra storia ci dice di non tacere.
Quella di EMERGENCY, ma anche quella di questo Paese.

Art. 11. L’Italia ripudia la guerra come strumento di offesa alla libertà degli altri popoli e come mezzo di risoluzione delle controversie internazionali; consente, in condizioni di parità con gli altri Stati, alle limitazioni di sovranità necessarie ad un ordinamento che assicuri la pace e la giustizia fra le Nazioni; promuove e favorisce le organizzazioni internazionali rivolte a tale scopo.

SNCCI joins Emergency’s R1PUD1A campaign through the Settimana Internazionale della Critica, that is going to take place from 27th August untill 6th September.

Article 11 of the Italian Constitution states something truly beautiful:
Italy shall never wage war again. It rejects it.
And it is committed to resolving conflicts through diplomacy.

Today, however, governments are rearming. They say that peace is a luxury.
Yet it seems to us that the real luxury is that of the arms industry, given that military spending keeps growing.
Money that does not heal, does not teach, does not save.

One thing is for sure: 90% of those killed and wounded in war are civilians.
Faced with all the victims, our history tells us not to remain silent.
The history of EMERGENCY, but also that of this country.

Because all of Italy, if you ask them, repudiates war.

Art. 11. Italy shall repudiate war as an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means of settling international disputes; it shall consent, on conditions of equality with other States, to sovereignty limitations required for a world order that ensures peace and justice among Nations. Italy shall promote and encourage international organizations furthering such ends.
